It's time to dust off your gowns and tuxedos and pull the fur coats out of storage for the Winter Wonderland celebration of our wedding! We're so excited to be taking Braidwood by storm for 3 incredible days - the venue has stocked up on marshmallows and firewood, and have been told to brace for David's slight pyromaniac tendencies. Bring on the roaring fires and roasted chestnuts!

Schedule of Events

Welcome Dinner

5:30 pm

Welcome to our wedding!
A casual evening to get to know each other before the big day. Wood-fired pizzas and G&Ts with plenty of laughs and love.
Dress code - smart casual.

Morning of the Wedding

Braidwood has a lot to offer - we recommend a stroll around town, with breakie at Provisions for a galette or crepe. For those with a morning appetite not easily satiated - perhaps a meat pie at the famous Braidwood Bakery appeals!
David is likely to spend the morning playing 9 holes of golf at the beautiful Braidwood Golf Club, and would be delighted to be joined by whomever so fancies!
Buses will collect guests from the centre of town and transport to the venue.
Pickup 1:45pm sharp.

Ceremony

2:30 pm

We are already legally married, but how could we pass up the opportunity to do it all over again with our nearest and dearest? Pack your tissues and ensure you rug up - we're outside for this part of the day and it's bound to be a bit chilly!

Reception

5:30 pm

Get ready for a boogie and a couple of side-splitting speeches (no pressure!). This is the party we've been waiting for, so bring your A game people!
We prefer you don't sleep in some lovely rose bush in freezing temperatures, so at the end of the night, buses will whisk you away before you turn into pumpkins.
Last bus departs 11:30pm sharp

Recovery Brunch

11:30 am

Nurse your sore heads and regale us with all the juicy details of the epic night!
Bloody Marys and Bacon Sangas are the order of the day.

The Finer Details

Location

Braidwood is aproximately 3.5 hours drive from Sydney and 45 minutes from Canberra. For those flying - both Canberra Airport and Sydney Airport are good options.
Mona Farm is the venue for the Wedding of the Century and is a spectacular blend of stunning landscapes and incredible artwork. A little slice of Aussie heaven

Accomodation

Braidwood is home to many a quaint AirBnB! The Doncaster Hotel is gorgeous, and the venue also recommends Cedar Lodge.

Dress Code

Our wedding day is strictly Black Tie. Think tuxedos and bowties, or formal dresses (floor-length preferred).

Our wedding will be partly on grass, so keep this in mind when choosing shoes. Also please keep in mind that it is likely to be quite chilly once the sun goes down (overnight temperatures in Braidwood in early June hover around 2 degrees, so pack a coat!)

Our Registry

Your presence is present enough - we're so excited to party with you! We've set up a Registry with zero expectations.

A Note on Children

We really want you to let your hair down at our wedding and not be on parent duty!
For this reason, our wedding day is strictly no children. We are more than happy if you want to bring kids to the Welcome and Recovery functions, and we can provide details of local nannies vetted by the venue for use on the wedding day.
Please note - our son and nieces and nephew will be at our ceremony, but they'll be banished to bed for the party (sorry, not sorry!)
